"Proving Sunshine" was inspired by the Switchfoot song The Shadow Proves the Sunshine. Basically the song is about someone who is striving to do good for God, but is constantly feeling unworthy and broken. Through a realizing that Christ can still use our brokenness if we let Him shine on us, even the most messed up people can point others to the everlasting hope that the heavenly father gives. This was a huge encouragement to me as I was preparing to leave for India several years ago.
This blog was originally put out into the world to keep track of the wonderful things that God did while I was in Goa, India in the summer of 2010, as well as to keep in touch with loved ones back home. If you are interested in some of the stories that happened, check out my travels page!
Its been a while since 2010, but I still find a lot of encouragement in this song, and I still think it is very appropriate for the title of this blog. I've posted here and there since coming back to the Florida, but I think its time to crank up the volume of posts around here. I've gotten really excited about DIY/ crafts/ decor, fun new recipes, books, and an awesome project. I'm blessed to share all of this with you as well as what God is teaching me throughout my day to day journey.
